Sleigh Bells
Sleigh Bells
Based in Brooklyn, NY, Sleigh Bells is the musical collaboration of Derek E. Miller (songwriter, guitarist, producer) and Alexis Krauss (vocals). The two met and formed in 2008, when Miller was waiting tables on Alexis and her mother at a neighborhood Brazilian restaurant. When Miller mentioned that he was looking for a female vocalist for a new musical project, Krauss's mother immediately volunteered her daughter.

Sleigh Bells' unique sound is likely the result of Miller and Krauss's contrasting musical backgrounds; Miller was formerly the guitarist for the post-hardcore band Poison the Well and Krauss was a member of the teen pop group RubyBlue as a teenager. After steadily gaining popularity throughout 2009, Sleigh Bells signed to M.I.A.'s label N.E.E.T. in Spring 2010.

In 2010, Sleigh Bells released their debut full-length album entitled Treats. The album's immediate popularity and the band's reputation as an energetic live act have helped solidify the duo's widespread popularity. Amidst blown-out drum beats, fuzzed guitars and synth-pop sensibilities, Krauss balances each song with a voice that is both forceful and elegant. After playing Pitchfork's summer music festival, Sleigh Bells set out on their North American tour in July 2010.
Rye Rye
Rye Rye
Baltimore U.S.A based, Rye Rye, already heralded by NME in trends for 2008 as "the latest prodigy from the Spank Rock stable that has A&Rs frothing," is the new face of female hip –hop …this is Nu-Hop! Nu-Hop had been stripped of negativity and this 17 year old rapper is throwing a fresh, unique, dance fueled, fun direction into the mix.

Rye Ryes debut single "Shake It To The Ground" assisted by DJ Blagstarr has received global attention, resulting with 1,000,000 youtube video views, the backing of Hollywood blogger extraordinaire Perez Hilton, a feature on MTV U.S.A News and currently in the UK the video is on MTV Base/ MTV2 / MTV dance. Rye Rye is a protégé of British/Sri Lankan femcee M.I.A, whom were both on the live explosive uberactive Kala tour, along with rapping on M.I.A s recent hit "Paper Planes" she also performed with her on the David Letterman show U.S.A.

This teen sensation is at the helm of a movement that is already encouraging people to look out of the old school hip-hop box! Mentioned in April 08 in the No.2 spot in NMEs: " The Future 50 bands, artists and innovators driving music forward" alongside M.I.A, The Cool Kids, Santogold, and airplay support from Radio 1s Rob Da Bank, Rye Rye is a new force to watch out for.

"Rye Rye, people like this are making eccentric solo fem-punk the most exciting post-new rave proposition" –NME, The Future 50. April 2008.

"Rye Rye has developed her own style and people are loving what she is bringing to music" – M.I.A (music artist)

"Incredible, look her up on you tube, she does some bonkers dancing" - Rob Da Bank, Radio 1
Jel
Jel
Listening to the hey-days of hip hop while growing up in Chicago, Jeffery Logan, better known today as Jel, adored the pioneers of his youth. Now living in Berkeley with the same SP-1200 beatmachine he started out with, Jel is making some of the grooviest electronic cuts around. Piling smooth rhymes over his unique beats, Jel has collaborated with the likes of Mike Patton and Sage Francis, contributed to several different projects, and drops considerable amounts of knowledge on today's generation.
Mr. Dream
Mr. Dream
MR. DREAM are a rock band from Brooklyn. Critics at Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and elsewhere adored the trio’s 2011 debut TRASH HIT, an equal parts noisy and melodic record that garnered a number of Pixies and Nirvana comparisons--for once meant positively. They’ve toured North America with Sleigh Bells and indie supergroup Mister Heavenly, and sang backup vocals for the final LCD Soundsystem concerts. In Spring 2012 MR. DREAM hit the West Coast with Cloud Nothings, in support of their new FATHERLAND EP, a suite of songs about an amusement park for fathers. Adam Moerder plays guitar and sings. Matt Morello plays bass and sings. Nick Sylvester plays drums. The band records and releases their own material via their God Mode imprint.
