Alter Bridge
Alter Bridge
Passion. Emotion. Melody. Aggression. These are the hallmarks of Alter Bridge, one of the most routinely acclaimed and adored hard rock bands on the planet. Formed in 2004 in Orlando, Florida, the band comprising guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall, drummer Scott Phillips and vocal powerhouse and guitarist Myles Kennedy have steadily but purposefully risen to the upper echelons of the rock world thanks to a mixture of supreme songwriting talent and musicianship and an unerring collective belief in the power of music. The band's first three albums – One Day Remains, Blackbird and 2011's ABIII – have helped Alter Bridge to accrue a huge international fan base, all of whom will be thrilled by the prospect of hearing the band's fourth album, Fortress, for the first time. A bold, ambitious and exhilaratingly powerful collection of freshly-minted anthems that refines and redefines its creators' trademark sound while simultaneously raising the bar in terms of speaker-melting, state-of-the-art sonic values.

"Fortress is a musical snapshot of a specific period of time," explains Myles Kennedy. "We didn't allow ourselves the luxury of over-thinking and overanalyzing. That is what makes this record so special to me. When I listen to these songs everything sounds fresh and unencumbered by the sound of beating arrangements into the ground. There is spontaneity. We try to push ourselves musically with each record, but we opted to veer further from some of the standard approaches we'd used for writing and arranging songs in the past. That said, we still tried to maintain the Alter Bridge sound."
In Flames
In Flames
In Flames was formed by Jesper Strömblad back in 1990. The band as it was at the time consisted of Jesper, Johan Larsson and Glenn Ljungström. A demo was recorded and soon after the band got a record deal and released "Lunar Strain" and it did not take long before the album was a classic in the fast growing Scandinavian death metal scene.

With a new line up consisting of Jesper, Johan & Glenn along with two new additions: Anders Fridén on vocals and Björn Gelotte on drums, In Flames signed a license deal with Nuclear Blast Records and soon started recording the follow up: "The Jester Race".

"The Jester Race" quickly became a big hit all across Europe and Japan. After the recording of "Whoracle" in 1997 Johan and Glenn decided to leave the band and Peter Iwers (bass) joined. Niklas Engelin (Gardenian, Engel) was temporarily in the band filling in on guitars.

With a fresh line up the band set sails and headed out on tour. Short after a very successful European tour Niklas had to focus on his other projects, and Björn switched from drums to guitar and Daniel Svensson joined the band, and this is the In Flames as we know it today. With the completion of the line up "Colony" was recorded and released in 1999.

"Colony" took In Flames to a new level and the band sold out venues across Europe, USA and Japan and quickly became one of the biggest and most popular Melodic Death Metal acts around.

"Clayman" which was released in 2000 even topped its predecessor and the awards started pouring in and the band kept growing in popularity. In 2001 "The Tokyo Showdown", In Flames first live album was released, and gave the public and insight to the band's live competence.

Modern and more mature "Reroute To Remain" (2002) again confirmed the status of In Flames and marked another milestone in their career. Two years later and it was time to take In Flames to a new level. "Soundtrack To Your Escape" did just that and was the logical continuation after "Reroute To Remain". In Flames continued to tour the world and documented these escapades, which resulted in the release of the phenomenal DVD/CD package "Used And Abused – In Live We Trust" in 2005.

With an incredibly successful world tour behind them, In Flames recorded the masterpiece "Come Clarity" which was released in March 2006. "Come Clarity" got an amazing reception in the media and has today sold over 400.000 copies worldwide. The song "Take This Life" from the album is featured on the new "Guitar Hero III" game. A game which has been deemed the bestselling video game of all times and has today sold six million copies.

In Flames have sold over 2 million albums worldwide to date!!!

In January 2010, Jesper Srömblad quit the band.
Today the band consists of Anders,Björn,Peter and Daniel.

Devour the Day
Formed in 2012, DEVOUR THE DAY is born from the brain trust of Joey Chicago (Bass, Vocals, Songwriter) and Blake Allison (Lead singer, Guitar, Songwriter and Producer). Having much success with the band Egypt Central, Blake and Joey sought to break out on their own, writing and producing music without compromise.

Joey explains, "Our lives got to a point that we had lost trust, we lost our
compassion, feeling and our way." The water was so murky we didn't know which way was up." What we did know is that we should keep writing and keep fighting because that was the truth and our center."

What transpired is a new album scheduled for release May 7, 2013.
Painting a picture in listeners imagination is what this songwriting duo does best. Joey continues, "While our songs are very personal to our experiences we are very aware to keep it open for interpretation. There is nothing more gratifying when a fan explains how our songs help them in their lives. It's humbling."

Giving perspective Blake states, "the process of writing this record is something totally different than what we had done before. The pressure was enormous and we felt that every decision we made needed to be perfect. There was no room for mistakes. We needed to make choices that were sometimes very difficult but once made it felt like the weight we had been carrying got lighter brick by brick."

Look for DEVOUR THE DAY to hit the road in early 2013 in support of their new album.
