Toubab Krewe
Toubab Krewe
The dynamic instrumental quintet Toubab Krewe will return to the road this Fall, playing a string of dates on the East Coast and Deep South. The band will feature Drew Heller (guitar), Justin Perkins (kora/kamelngoni), Luke Quaranta (percussion), Terrence Houston (drums), and Justin Kimmel (bass). Since late 2014 the band has made only festival appearances and been recording the band's third studio album.

In anticipation of their fourth album release early next year the Krewe will play 16 shows between mid-August and mid-November featuring two Utopia Fest pre-parties in Texas, a return to the Blue Nile in New Orleans where the Krewe made a rare club appearance during Jazzfest, a date at the Brooklyn Bowl, and returns to many of their favorite tour stops.

Playing nearly 2000 shows from 2005-2015 Toubab Krewe established itself as one of the most unique bands on the scene. The Krewe made regular appearances at Bonnaroo (3x), Jam Cruise (3x), High Sierra Music Festival (3x), Floyd Fest (3x), Wakarusa (2x), before taking an extended hiatus in 2015-16. The band is inspired and excited about it's return to touring, and can't wait to share the fruit of their recent studio efforts.
Gato Loco
Gato Loco
An intense Psycho-Mambo party band, bringing fire and brass, lascivious guitars and rousing percussion, into intimate sweaty clubs and festival stages alike. Gato Loco has been bringing their unique schizoid energy from New York City around the world for years, embracing an all-encompassing sound of irreverence, rebellion, and abandon that defies place or time.

It’s comprised of an all-star group of musicians, individually having played and/or recorded with Vampire Weekend, Zola Jesus, Lauren Hill, The Violent Femmes, Dillinger Escape Plan, Wheatus, Zakir Hussain, T.S. Monk, Brazilian Girls, Slavic Soul Party, Father John Misty, to name just a few. This will be their last NYC show before they head to Europe in July.

"Perfect for the dance floor" (WNYC)
"Exotic and simultaneously urban" (Le Monde, Paris)
"Brimming with enthusiasm, like the orgasmic lovemaking between James Brown and Tito Puente." (De Volkskrant, Amsterdam)
