Globally-renowned recording and performing artist Morrissey will embark on an extensive U.S. Tour on May 7 in San Jose at the City National Civic Center Auditorium. The tour will continue across the country through June 21, when it concludes in Brooklyn, New York at Barclays Center Arena. The tour of more than two-dozen performances will include dates at renowned theaters, opera houses, concert halls and arenas, affirming the artist’s unique relationship with with his fans built on a 30-year recording and performing career that enables him to command the stage at venues of every kind.

Morrissey’s special guest on all dates will be singer, songwriter and keyboardist Kristeen Young, with Sir Cliff Richard as support artist in New York City.

The tour dates will come on the heels of Morrissey’s completion of his forthcoming Harvest Records debut album – the artist’s first since 2009’s Years Of Refusal -- recorded in France with producer Joe Chiccarelli. Joining Morrissey on tour will be his longtime band, including Boz Boorer (guitar), Jesse Tobias (guitar), Solomon Walker (bass), Matthew Walker (drums) and Gustavo Manzur (keyboards).

Morrissey's recent Autobiography became one of the fastest-selling memoirs in the UK upon its release in October and set first-week sales records when it entered the UK charts at #1 (a slot it held for five weeks). Its release also marked the first time a living author had been published by Penguin Classics in the imprint’s nearly-70-year history. Autobiography has been widely acclaimed, with The Telegraph calling it “the best written musical autobiography since Bob Dylan’s Chronicles” in its 5-star review.

Morrissey’s solo career began in 1988, after the dissolution of The Smiths, with the release of Viva Hate. His influence on music and culture has continued to grow over the past 25 years through the release of nine globally acclaimed studio albums and an array of singles, rarities collections and live recordings. He is renowned as one of the world’s most legendary and influential performing artists of all time, recently exemplified in last year’s concert film, Morrissey 25: Live, recorded in March 2013 at a rare intimate show at Hollywood High School in Los Angeles.

The Independent famously wrote that "most pop stars have to be dead before they reach the iconic status he has reached in his lifetime" and Pitchfork regards him as "one of the most singular figures in Western popular culture.”

"Young is a mistress of melodrama, unleashing intense vocals that somehow manage to simultaneously seduce and terrify." -Time Out Chicago

"Her time in the rock trenches translates into a commanding, hypnotic stage presence that can turn a grand theater into a small club, and turn a small club into a rock cathedral." -Time Out Chicago

"The music they make is a kaleidoscope of swirling melodies, crashing drums and slow building tension that explodes in a swirling landscape of sound packed with energy and theatricality." -Daily Times

"Imagine a more modern Siouxie and the Banshees, or Missing Person's Dale Bozio if she sang better, and you've only scratched the surface of their eccentric, fun but thought provoking music." -Palm Beach Post

"Young's wailing soprano is a gift, one that she wields with a powerful hand." -Myrtle Beach Online

"Sounding like nothing before, the record is a barrage of melody. Young wails on the keyboard like a guitar while her sole band mate, drummer 'Baby' Jeff White invokes loud yet precise thrashing, like two trains colliding in secret" -NY Press

"Young attacks a piano like a like a punk rocker assaulting a guitar. Lyrically dense and sonically intense…" -Dallas Voice

"....In all the dissonance, brutally revealing lyrics and surreal vocals, Young has her finger on the trigger in full control." -the Baltimore Sun

"....she gives one hell of a performance." the Badger Herald

"She sings about the way we live when we are prevented from living the way we'd like to. The sound is as good as you'll ever hear in modern music. We scan the British pop charts in the hopeless quest for something different. Kristeen Young frees us from this." -Morrissey

.....the duo is a fiery, swirling funhouse born from the depths of the wild, wild west and sinister carnival sideshows." -CMJ

"....violent piano pounding, solid rock voice and catchy tunes."
