The 2026 Veer Music Awards is a celebration of the 757 region's music scene.

Awards will be presented in a diverse array of categories including hip hop, jazz, country, punk, R&B, metal, indie pop, open mic night, pop, classic rock, alternative folk, folk/acoustic, smooth jazz, tribute band, cover band, and more.

Additional awards will spotlight Music Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, EP of the Year, AI Music Video of the Year, and Best Live Band.

Previously announced are the Lifetime Achievement Award to be presented to legendary talent buyer Rick Mersel and longtime blues artist Bobby Black Hat Walters. Independent hip hop and R&B promoters Charles "Batman" Brown and George "G-Man" Waters are to receive Industry Awards.

Nominations are based on accomplishments made in the 2025 calendar year such as new release songs, music videos, album, EPs, and high-profile live performance like headlining The NorVa or opening for a national act.
